CABRAS tourist attractions

+6 attractions

Cabras is a former fishing village located between the sea and Sardinia's largest freshwater lake. There are sandy beaches, low-rise buildings and one of the most significant archaeological sites on the island nearby.

The area around Cabras was already inhabited in antiquity. Traces of Nuragic civilization have been discovered here, a local Sardinian culture, the origin of which scientists have been arguing for years. The most important archaeological site of Tharros is located on the Sinis Peninsula and includes the ruins of a Phoenician city. Items from the excavations can also be seen at the Giovanni Marongiu City Museum.

There are sandy beaches around the town, such as Mari Ermi Beach, Torregrande Beach and San Giovanni di Sinis Beach. Some of them have good development and are equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas.
