Stellata Fortress

Local name: Rocca Possente di Stellata

Stellata Castle (Starry), named after the characteristic shape of the walls, intended to protect against artillery fire, along with many other buildings in the province of Ferrara, has been included in the UNESCO cultural heritage list. The fortress was built in the 11th century to oversee the navigation on the Pad. The building in its present shape was built in 1620.
