San Damiano

Church and monastery dating from the 6th-7th century. One of the miracles of St. Francis - Christ spoke to him from the crucifix. It is also here that he created his work "In Praise of Creation". Above the altar there is a copy of the miraculous icon of the Cross of San Damiano, the original of which is kept in the Church of St. Clara.
