Cathedral of the Assumption

Local name: Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta

Roman Catholic cathedral built in the 4th century. It is the bishop's seat of the diocese of Aosta. The present neoclassical facade was built in the years 1846-1848. Two clock towers and a crypt remain after the Romanesque period, as well as part of an Ottonian fresco on the church's ceiling.
