James Joyce Centre

The James Joyce Center is located in an 18th century Georgian townhouse in the center of Dublin. Here you can see a permanent, interactive exhibition of the author and his greatest work, Ulysses. The collection includes personal items, correspondence, souvenirs and furniture belonging to the writer.

The activities of the Center include not only an exhibition, but also the organization of literary meetings, the presentation of the writer's oeuvre and thematic walks around Dublin in the footsteps of Joyce. In addition to the permanent exhibition, which focuses primarily on presenting the writer's life, there are also temporary exhibitions related to the interpretation of his work. Works inspired by the writer's works are also shown.

Joyce's office was recreated in the tenement house where the Center is located. Furniture was brought here from the Paris apartment where the book Finnegan's Wake was written. You can also see the door of the apartment on Eccless Street 7 where Ulisessa's main character, Leopold Bloom, lived.
