Ormond Castle

The castle is considered the best-preserved Elizabethan residence in Ireland. The long gallery and decorative plasters, characteristic of the Tudor era and examples of early craftsmanship in Ireland, are especially noteworthy. The castle can only be visited in groups with a guide.
