People's Park

The People's Park is the largest public park located in Waterford, Ireland. There used to be swamps here, but they were drained in 1857 as part of land development plans. Today it is Waterford's most important green space measuring 6.6 hectares.

Despite the restoration, the park has retained its historic character, with features such as a circular Victorian-era stage and an old painted iron bridge. However, there are also modern attractions that make The People's Park a family-friendly place: a playground for children or a cafe called Park Lodge. It is worth visiting this green area for recreational reasons. For sports enthusiasts, a renovated skate park and a bicycle route that remembers the old cyclists' races have been prepared.
