Reykjavik Maritime Museum

Established in a former fish cooler, the museum presents the development of fisheries and fish processing - the basis of Iceland's economy. The latest permanent exhibition, opened in mid-2018, entitled 'Fish and people - 150 years of fishing', shows the role of fishing in the economy, cuisine, culture and many other aspects of Icelanders' lives.
