Budapest's main pedestrian street along the Danube coast. The historic tenement houses, many of which have decorated facades, now house fashionable boutiques, souvenir shops, restaurants and cafes. In summer, there are café and restaurant gardens along the pedestrian street, and social life moves directly to the street. Vaci Street since its demarcation played the role of the main meeting place for the inhabitants of Pest because there is no separate market, typical for other cities.
