Kaisariani Monastery
Local name: Μονή Καισαριανής
The monastery is located at the foot of the Hymettus hill in the suburbs of Athens. It was built in the 11th century and rebuilt several times in the following centuries. A medieval Catholic Catholic, decorated with polychromies dating back to the 14th century, has survived to our times. The church is surrounded by stone residential buildings. In the monastery you can also see the remains of Roman baths.
