Built around 1580, the church is the place where the relics of Saint Spirydion are kept. They are located in the crypt next to the iconostasis. The temple is a single-nave building with a high tower-belfry. It is the tallest bell tower in the Ionian Islands. The interior is richly decorated with paintings and sculptural decorations, mainly from the Venetian period.
