The beach is located on the island of Chrissi, which can be reached by ferry from Ierepetra. It is famous for its paradise-like appearance. It is covered with light sand mixed with shells and their fragments that give it a pinkish hue. A cedar forest adjoins the beach. It is not allowed to take sand or shells from the island.
