Red House of Chalkida

Local name: Κόκκινο Σπίτι

The "Red House" is the late 19th century residence of the merchant Vasilios Mallios, standing on the seashore. In 1916, the Serbian king, Peter, lived there with his legation. The house is a neoclassical residence with elements typical of Mediterranean villas. Currently, there is a culture center with a library, exhibition and conference room.
