A Renaissance-Baroque monastery complex which is a place of pilgrimage and national memory of the Greeks. He is known for his heroic defense against the Turks in 1866. When the situation was hopeless, women and children, in order not to get captured, locked themselves in the powder magazine and blew up. In the former windmill, their remains are gathered at the walls of the monastery. Bullet marks are still visible on the baroque facade of the church.
