On the area of rock you can find a colony of about 160 macaques, the only free-living monkeys in Europe. Most of them appear near the central and upper cableway stations. During walks, however, it is worth remembering that they are wild animals and care should be taken with them. If caught on a monkey feeder, you may be penalized up to £ 4,000.
