Roman Bridge

Local name: Römerbrücke

The first wooden bridge was erected by the Romans in this place in 18 or 17 BC. In 45 AD the first stone structure was erected, which was rebuilt several times in the following centuries. The bridge was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1986 together with the Black Gate (Porta Nigra) and other monuments from the Roman period.
