Church of Our Lady

Local name: Liebfrauenkirche

The church was built within the palace complex of Constantine I. It is connected by a passage with the cathedral in Trier. Along with it and monuments from the Roman period is inscribed on the UNESCO list. It is one of two churches, next to Marburg, considered to be the oldest Gothic buildings in Germany. The whole building is dominated by 12 symbolism. There is a plan similar to a rose with 12 petals or 12 pillars, on which the figures of the apostles and parts of the profession of faith are presented.
