One of the many Roman bath complexes, along with other monuments of Roman Trier, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1986. The baths were built around the year 150 and were one of the largest bathhouse complexes in the Roman Empire. For centuries, they were used as a source of building materials.
