Memorial Church

Local name: Gedächtniskirche

The temple was erected in 1904 in memory of the protest in Spira. In 1529, six German princes protested (hence the name Protestantism) against establishing their religious affiliation by voting. The church has a Hall of Remembrance with a statue of Martin Luther and surrounding figures of princes who supported his teachings.
