Enchanted Forest

A picturesque rock landslide was formed around 4,000 years ago, when as a result of erosion about 15 million m3 of rock broke off the Hochkalter massif and rolled down to the valley located 1000 m below. Rocks entwined with tree roots and numerous streams created a fairytale landscape, which in the 1920s began to be called the Magic Forest.
