A fortress built on a rocky ridge separating the Danube valley and the Ilz river. For centuries it was a stronghold of the bishops of Passau. On the elongated hill there are buildings from different eras. A Gothic chapel dominates the courtyard. Inside, frescoes from the 14th century have been preserved. There are also Renaissance and Baroque residential buildings and a defensive tower with walls.
