The zoo since 1936 has 3 thousand. animals from several hundred species, among which most come from Africa. Attention is drawn to the Asian zoo with architecture inspired by the famous Angkor Wat temple complex in Cambodia. An interesting fact is the Underground Zoo - a tunnel inhabited by snails, cave invertebrates and bats.
