The museum is located in the northern wing of the unfinished Congress Hall of NSDAP. His permanent exhibition "Fascinations and Terror" describes the gatherings of Nazi parties and explains the fascination they exerted on the participants. The exhibition also tries to explain what led to the exercise of power by national socialists. Another site is a presentation of the consequences of Nazi Germany. The museum also discusses events directly related to Nuremberg and national socialist Julius Streicher.
The exhibition is chronologically ordered and presented in a narrative form. Classic exhibition methods were used, as well as contemporary presentation techniques. Eyewitness interviews that have been specially prepared for the Documentation Center are intended to make history more accessible, especially for the younger generation. The museum offers a total of 1,300 square meters of exhibition space.
