The 13th-century prince's castle, the hereditary seat of the Bavarian rulers, was built on the order of Ludwig I. It is now a museum of interiors, as well as a venue for exhibitions, cultural and occasional events. One of the biggest attractions of the castle is the sixteenth-century cabinet of curiosities.
