Fridericianum

Local name: Fridericianum

Built in 1779, the Classicist building is one of the oldest public museums in Europe. Currently temporary temporary art exhibitions are organized here. The Fridericianum building was designed by architect Huguenot Simon Louis du Ry for Landgraf Friedrich II. Originally it housed a library and historical art collections.
