The city park was built in the first half of the 19th century in the style of an English landscaped garden. It currently houses the headquarters of the University of Hanover. Among the alleys there is a pond and a river through which two picturesque bridges run. You can also see the historic pavilion and the obelisk measuring 12 m high.
