Günzburg is a historic city associated with the Habsburg family for centuries. Today, in turn, it is known mainly for the fact that the German branch of Legoland is located here.
The city has a long history dating back to Roman times. From the Middle Ages it was in the hands of the Austrian Habsburg family. You can see the only castle built in Germany belonging to this family. An important monument of the city is the rococo church of the Mother of God. The historic urban layout has been preserved in the center, but the vast majority of buildings are buildings raised from rubble or reconstructed after the war damage.
The biggest attraction in Günzburg is Legoland Deutschland. It is a branch of the famous Danish amusement park dedicated to Lego bricks. It consists of several lands, where you can see the monuments of Berlin, Venice and scenery from Star Wars. There is also an interesting Aviation Museum in the city.
