The late-medieval castle acquired its present form in the 15th century after the reconstruction carried out on the occasion of the wedding of Albrecht IV. In the following centuries there was a powder magazine, a prison and living rooms. Currently, the castle is the seat of the archaeological museum, and its tower has become a popular vantage point.
