Castle Ruins Hopfen Am See

The first certain mention of the castle's existence dates back to the 11th century. In the 15th century, the castle was abandoned and gradually fell into ruin, and its fate was sealed in the 18th century by the construction of the Füssener St. Mang - fortresses were treated as a source of cheap building materials. Currently, the ruins are a valued viewpoint on the Ammergau Alps and the Tannheimer Mountains.
