The sculpture of the artistic duo, created by Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002) and Jean Tinguely (1925-1991), is the most famous and most controversial work of art in Duisburg. The polyester figure on a steel base, installed in 1993, is one of the objects on the so-called mile fountains that run along the Königstraße pedestrian street.
