Weser Stadium

German football stadium belonging to the Werder Bremen club, appearing in the 1st Bundesliga. Because of the picturesque location on the banks of the Weser River and the lush surrounding greenery, it was named Waserstadion, because "werder" is a regional German term for the river peninsula.

At the beginning there was an athletics stadium. In 2008 the building was completely rebuilt. Several international matches were played here, including two competition matches: qualifications for Euro 1980 and FIFY World Cup 1998.

Famous artists performed here, including Bon Jovi, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, Depeche mode, Metallica, The Rolling Stones and Guns N'Roses.
