Villa Hammerschmidt

One of the two seats of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany. It is a neoclassical palace built in 1860 for a local merchant. As one of the few buildings in Bonn, it survived World War II without any damage. On the ground floor of the villa there are representative rooms, where official state delegations are accepted. The first floor is occupied by private presidential suites.
