The museum is dedicated to the history of the Sorbs, one of the minorities living in Bautzen. The exhibitions are devoted to trade and craft, traditional costumes, music and faith, as well as the history of settlement and contemporary art of the Sorbian people. The exhibition is located in one of the buildings of the Ortenburg castle.
