It is a 34-meter symbol of one of the oldest breweries in the world. The entire building, including the tower, was designed by the famous artist Friedenreich Hundertwasser. The tower was even included in the official logo of the city. Just below it is a beer garden.
Inside the tower there are many attractions referring to the subject of brewing. One of them is the so-called Karłów Cave with its original design, including beer bottles embedded in the wall. There is also an exhibition presenting the collection of 4,200 glasses of white beer Leonhard Sallecks, his brewing and the principle of purity regarding this process.
Interestingly, Hundertwasser died during the construction of the tower, so his architectural plans were completed by Peter Pelikan, introducing significant changes to the project.
An annual Christmas market is organized at the foot of the tower.
