Medieval Vaison-la-Romaine

Medieval part of the city built on a steep mountain slope. It is surrounded by a wall from the 14th century. You can walk on its crown. Inside the walls you can see narrow cobbled streets with stone houses. A large part of them was built from the remains of a Roman settlement. The castle walls and the church belfry tower over the town.
