The monumental and richly decorated town hall was built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Its facade is decorated with numerous sculptures and reliefs, including allegories of courage, strength and knowledge. The interior is also decorated, you can see, among others statue of the first mayor of Tours Jean Briçonnet.
