Established in 1973, the reserve protects the areas of lakes, screes and mountain meadows, which are home to rare plant species, including protected varieties of violets. It is inhabited by chamois and ibex, as well as golden eagles. Sightseeing takes place along designated routes - the main entrance is at the Saut dam at an altitude of 2280 m above sea level
