Ski resort Bows
Local name: Station de ski Les Arcs
Les Arcs is one of the largest and most famous ski resorts in the Alps. Founded in 1968, it currently has over 400 kilometers of ski runs of varying difficulty. It consists of several villages located at different heights connected by ski lifts and cable cars.
Les Arcs is considered to be the first of the great Alpine ski resorts. Gradually expanded, it became something of a self-sufficient mountain town, whose only function is to provide support for skiers coming from November to April. The ski slopes stretch from 810 to 3226 m above sea level
Most ski runs in Les Arcs are of medium difficulty. There are special separate areas for children, beginners, snowboarders, several snow parks, routes for free and cross-country skiing. In summer, mountain biking and downhill enthusiasts come to the resort.
