Abbey to the Ladies

Founded in 1047, the Benedictine monastery in the 14th century became one of the largest female orders in France. The 12th-century monastery buildings and the church have retained many original Romanesque elements. Currently, the abbey is a cultural center specializing in concerts of classical and early music.
