The castle from the 17th century became famous as the property of Joséphine de Beauharnais, the first wife of Napoleon Bonaparte, who acquired it in 1799 and remained there until his death in 1814. Currently, it is a museum with rooms richly decorated with marble, gold and mosaics, equipped with with original furniture, paintings, porcelain and weapons from the end of the 18th century.
