The Sculpture of the Man Walking Through the Wall is in Montmartra, in the shadow of the Sacre Coeur Basilica. It shows a man whose head, part of the torso, and one leg are outside the wall and the rest of his body is trapped inside it.
The sculpture by Jean Marais was completed in 1989. It is a tribute to the writer Marcel Ayme, who wrote the novel "The Man Who Walked Through Walls" in the first half of the 20th century. It is a scene in which the protagonist is trapped partly outside the wall and partly inside it.
