The Berges de Seine promenade is located on the left bank of the Seine, between the Alma bridge and the Orsay Museum. It consists of recreational areas, floating gardens, places for art exhibitions and intended for workshops. The boulevards opened in 2013 quickly became one of the favorite resting places in the center of Paris.
The promenade was built in the place where a busy street previously ran. The supports and viaducts that remained were used to arrange the space. Work on the reconstruction lasted from 2008 to 2013. A recreational space was created in the heart of the French capital. Thanks to the use of appropriate structures and materials, all promenade equipment can be dismantled within 24 hours, e.g. in the event of a flood risk.
The promenade is primarily a place of rest. There are benches and tables made of light, mainly natural materials. There were also modeled on Indian teepees that can be rented and colorful containers for parties or social gatherings. The entire nearly 2 and a half kilometer section of the waterfront is surrounded by greenery and flowers and is a real oasis in the center of Paris.
