Petit Palais is an eclectic building in the center of Paris, built as a pavilion for the World Exhibition in 1900. today it houses a collection of ancient and medieval art as well as paintings by French artists from the 18th to the 20th century.
Petit Palais forms an architectural ensemble of the Grand Palais. These are one of the few remains of the 1900 World Exhibition. The palace has a monumental colonnade and a dome resembling that of the Invalid Church. From 1902, the building houses exhibitions of the Museum of Fine Arts.
The palace has original interiors with stucco and sculptural decorations and decorative fabrics. The courtyard is a shaded patio where you can relax on one of the many benches. The museum's collection includes works of ancient and medieval art. There is also an exhibition dedicated to Flemish and French painting. You can see the works of Rembrandt, Rubens, Delacroix, Monet, Cezanne and Manet.
