Musee des Arts et Metiers is a technical museum at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers. His exhibitions are located in the school building and standing near the church of Saint Martin, in which Foucault originally placed his famous pendulum, now moved to the Pantheon. In the Museum you can admire prototypes of machines, technical devices and their drawings. There are, among others, the first tractors, French cars from the late nineteenth century and internal combustion engines.
After reconstruction and reorganization at the end of the 20th century, the Museum exhibition was divided into thematic sections related to various areas of life. There are machines and devices for communication, movement, food production or improvement of work in factories. Technical drawings and miniatures showing the operation of individual devices supplement the exhibition of models and prototypes.
