The Jena Bridge connects the two banks of the Seine at the height of the Military School. It is a stone crossing with five spans and a length of 155 meters. It is decorated with imperial eagles and warrior figures.
Napoleon Bonaparte decided to build the bridge in 1807. It was to connect the Military School building with the other bank of the Seine. The crossing was opened in 1814. The stone, symmetrical building was decorated in accordance with the spirit of the era by imperial eagles. In the mid-nineteenth century, statues of warriors, Gallic, Roman, Arabic and Greek were placed at the four ends of the bridge.
