La Mer de Sable
Local name: La Mer de Sable
La Mer de Sable is the oldest amusement park in France. His topics revolve around the broadly understood Wild West. It is intended primarily for younger children. You can ride rollercoasters, carousels, take part in safari or take part in cowboy shows.
The park was founded in 1963 by the French actor Jean Richard. After necessary modernizations and general refurbishment, it was re-opened in 2005. The park consists of three lands: the pioneering world of the Wild West, the gate of the desert and the jungle full of impressions.
Every day in the park there are four large performances focusing on the theme of the Wild West. Here, you can watch Indian fights, gunslingers' duels, horse riding and training, or train attacks. In addition, guests have at their disposal over 30 land and water attractions. They include rafting on a mountain river, gold panning or passing through an old mine.
