The public recreational gardens near the Museum of Fine Arts offer a beautiful panorama on the banks of the Eure River. The terrace, their oldest part, was founded in the 17th century - originally it was planned to develop the area up to the river bank, but the work was interrupted by the outbreak of the French Revolution.
