Caudry is, next to Calais, the only place in France where traditional lace is still produced. There is a museum in Jean-Baptiste Carpentier's lace factory, which was opened in 1898. It presents old machines that are put into operation at shows. You can also see ready-made products from local manufactories and workshops.
