The most famous street in Bourges, which divides the Old Town into two parts. It was marked out in medieval times and from the beginning there were many shops, as well as representative houses. At Rue Moyenne lived, among others Stendhal and Balzac, as well as Marshal Ferdinand Foch. Currently, the street is part of its length is excluded from the ear and creates a picturesque promenade with cafes and restaurants as well as numerous half-timbered houses and city residences from the 18th and 19th centuries.
