The garden was founded in the 1830s on the order of the bishops of Bourges and located at the back of the cathedral. From the nineteenth century, it serves as a public park from which you can admire the walls of the cathedral with its external buttresses looking like ribs. It is a French-style garden with geometrical flower beds, multi-etched floral compositions and decorative shrubs trimmed into various shapes.
